FAQs

Do you take Insurance?

I am not covered by OHIP. You will have to contact your private insurance provider about coverage for Holistic Nursing as some may cover it.

What are your thoughts on Vegan/Vegetarian Diet?

If you are thriving on either diet, then there is no need to make changes. If you are having symptoms, then the terrain of the body needs adjusting. This can often be related to poor nutrient status. Animal products do have more bioavailable nutrition for many people that simply cannot be readily obtained for these people from plants or supplements. For these people adding animals products to the diet can be incredibly healing to the body. I am a huge advocate for humanly raised (happy animals living in peaceful environments) and naturally (organic) fed animals. I source my families food from local farmers and can help my clients do the same.

Will you take me off my medications?

No. I am not a doctor so I cannot prescribe or make changes to medications. As I am a Registered Nurse I can collaborate with you and your medical practitioner should you want to make any changes to your medications (Ontario residents only).

Will my symptoms go away?

This will be unique to each individual. Often times when we clean up the terrain of the body, symptoms do disappear. Other times they reduce in frequency or severity. My hope is that in our work together you become deeply connected to your body, learn how to listen to its messages and honour yourself.

Do you Offer Single Sessions?

Yes, but only after the initial 2 session intake.

Are you practicing as a nurse?

I am a Registered Nurse in Ontario Canada. As such, the support I provided to fellow Ontarians is considered Functional Nutrition Nurse Coaching. For those living outside of Ontario, my support is not nursing and is Functional Nutrition Coaching. All information on my website and social media is not medical advice and is for self help purposes only.

Can you order lab work?

I offer HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis) testing. I may recommend blood labs that you can request from your GP, NP or ND that can help us understand what is going on inside.

A note on functional labs. I think many of these tests are unnecessary and that much of the information can be extracted from a thorough assessment and the HTMA.
